Hitit University Attended the Global Zero Waste Forum 2025

The Sustainability Office took part in the Global Zero Waste Forum 2025, held in Istanbul on 17–19 October 2025, in collaboration with the Zero Waste Foundation, the United Nations Advisory Board, UN-Habitat, and the UN Environment Programme (UNEP).

This year’s forum, organized under the theme “Zero Waste in Action: People. Places. Progress.”, aimed to foster the exchange of knowledge and experiences on sustainable living, circular economy, and zero waste practices. The event brought together city leaders, community representatives, researchers, and policymakers, providing an opportunity to discuss the zero waste approach from multiple perspectives.

Throughout the forum, participants shared best practices in the field of sustainability, contributing to raising environmental awareness. The Sustainability Office also had the opportunity to present the university’s environmentally conscious initiatives and experiences in waste management to national and international stakeholders.
